I've had two really amazing people in my life come out to me this year and I wanted to express my position of total love and inclusion in my home in a way that felt authentic to me.
I looked around to see if I could find an art print that matched my current home decor and color story, but just couldn't seem to find one that fit the bill. I wanted one that was simple and minimal, yet uplifting and fun so I decided to create this one.
Pinkish-lavender is my favorite color at the moment and it happens to be a color that is way underutilized in the interior design world, in my opinion. I mean, it's creative, fun, happy, regal, and so beautifully calm, yet inspiring. So, why do I have such a hard time finding it on pillows, throw blankets, vases, and other accessories? I have no idea (unless, of course, I'm actually in the minority when it comes to liking it - in which case, that's fine by me because I would rather just love a color because I love it, not because it's popular - which would also be fine, too. It just doesn't matter).
And, by the way, I'm not actually sure what to officially call it. It doesn't seem quite as blue as lavender and all the usual pinkish-purple type colors just seem way too saturated to give it any kind of name that already exists - so pinkish-lavender is what I'll call it for now. :)
Anyway, enough obsessing about that. Here's the art print.
I'll probably post it in other colors at some point (since this color may not be everyone's cup of tea) but just in case it is, here you go:
